Purpose of this policy

The protection of your personal data is very important to us. We therefore comply with any applicable law and regulation regarding any personal information we may collect about you, including across our website and other accounts we own and operate. The purpose of this privacy policy is to inform you how FemGems Club processes your personal data, what information we collect and the reasons for doing so.  Please read the policy carefully before making any decisions.

Description of processing

Information we collect includes both information you knowingly and actively provide us when using or participating in any of our services and promotions, and any information automatically sent by your devices in the course of accessing our products and services. We only collect and process your personal information when we have a legitimate reason for doing so on the basis of Art. 6 Para. 1 S. 1 b) GDPR.  


We process your information if you are a FemGems Club members in order to initiate and fulfil your membership contract, inform you about relevant events and get in contact with you. This information is normally provided directly by you. We may ask for personal information which may include one or more of the following:
Location (city and country of residency)
Social media profiles
Phone/mobile number
If you apply to join FemGems Club we will also process the information that is not ‘personal’ (i.e does not identify you personally) which you will be asked to provide while filling out the application form such as interests, skills and other related questions. If your application is successful, you will be directed to make a payment for the selected membership so your payment information and home/registered address will also be processed.


Our website can usually be used without providing personal data. When you visit the website, our servers may automatically log the standard data provided by your web browser. It may include your device’s Internet Protocol (IP) address, your browser type and version, the pages you visit, the time and date of your visit, the time spent on each page, other details about your visit, and technical details that occur in conjunction with any errors you may encounter. Please be aware that while this information may not be personally identifying by itself, it may be possible to combine it with other data to personally identify individual persons. If personal data is collected on our website, this is always done on a voluntary basis as far as possible which means we only collect your personal data if you have given consent hereto. You can withdraw your consent at any time as explained in clause 14(iv).  


You have the option of subscribing to our newsletter (a.k.a MuseLetter) via our website and our social media accounts. For this, we need your name, e-mail address and your declaration that you agree to receive the newsletter. You can revoke your consent at any time and unsubscribe from the newsletter from the link provided in every newsletter email.

We will comply with laws applicable to us in respect of any data breach. You are responsible for ensuring the security of your own information within the bounds of our services.

How Long We Keep Your Personal Information

We keep your personal information only for as long as we need to. This time period may depend on what we are using your information for, in accordance with this privacy policy. If your personal information is no longer required, we will delete it or make it anonymous by removing all details that identify you.However, if necessary, we may retain your personal information for our compliance with a legal, accounting, or reporting obligation or if it serves the public interest.

Our website uses so-called cookies. These are small text files that are stored on your device with the help of the browser. They do no harm. We use cookies to make our offer user-friendly. Marketing cookies
Marketing cookies are used to track visitors across websites. The intention is to display ads that are relevant and engaging for the individual user and thereby more valuable for publishers and third party advertisers.
Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics, a web analysis service provided by Google LLC (“Google”) , on the basis of our legitimate interests (ie interest in the analysis, optimization and economic operation of our online offer within the meaning of Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. f. GDPR). Google Analytics uses cookies to analyse how users use the website. The information generated by the cookie about the use of the online offer by the user is usually transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there. If you are in the EU or the European Economic Area, your IP address will be shortened by Google before it is transferred to the USA. In exceptional cases, your full address will be sent to a Google server in the USA and shortened there. Google has certified its compliance with the
EU-US Privacy Shield Framework itself. Google will use this information on our behalf to compile reports on website activity and to provide other services related to website activity and internet usage. The IP addresses transmitted by your browser as part of Google Analytics are not associated with other Google data. The analyzes help us to improve our services. You can prevent data generated by the cookie (including your IP address) from being transmitted to Google if you download and install this browser plug- in or change your settings here .

Integration of streaming content and social plug ins

Our website uses plugins from YouTube, operated by Google. The operator of the website is YouTube, LLC, 901 Cherry Ave., San Bruno, CA 94066, USA. If you visit one of our pages equipped with a YouTube plug-in, a connection to the YouTube servers will be established. The YouTube server is informed which of our pages you have visited. If you are logged into your YouTube account, YouTube enables you to assign your surfing behavior directly to your personal profile. You can prevent this by logging out of your YouTube account. We use Airtable (Formagrid Inc., 769 Dolores Street San Francisco, CA 94110 USA) for membership administration and as an event, contact and information database. Your data will be processed in the USA and transmitted there, i.e. a third country outside the European Union (EU) or the European Economic Area (EEA). There is no adequacy decision by the EU Commission for this third country that guarantees that there is a level of data protection that corresponds to the European standard. In order to effectively protect your data at the same time, the transmission and processing takes place on the basis of so-called standard contractual clauses that we have concluded with the provider. We also offer workshops and online meetings as part of our services. Here we need the technology from Zoom, with which the meetings and events are carried out. Zoom is a service provided by the US provider Zoom Video Communications, Inc., 55 Almaden Blvd, Suite 600, San Jose, CA 95113, USA. The legal basis for processing data via Zoom is Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. b) GDPR. With Zoom we provide our contractual services, especially for our members. We use Slack (Slack Technologies, LLC) as our main communication channel. In order to facilitate this communication, we process your personal information in accordance with  Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. b) GDPR. You can find Slack’s privacy policy

Protection of minors
Persons under the age of 18 should not transmit any personal data to us without the consent of their parents or legal guardians. We do not request any personal data from children and young people. We do not knowingly collect such data and do not pass them on to third parties.

Limits of Our Policy

Our website may link to external sites that are not operated by us. Please be aware that we have no control over the content and policies of those sites and cannot accept responsibility or liability for their respective privacy practices.

Changes to this policy

At our discretion, we may change our privacy policy to reflect updates to our business processes, current acceptable practices, or legislative or regulatory changes. If we decide to change this privacy policy, we will post the changes here at the same link by which you are accessing this privacy policy. You can find the date of the current version at the bottom of this page. Your continued use of the platform after such changes have been announced on our website constitutes your consent to such changes to the data protection regulations and is deemed to be your consent to be bound by the changed regulations.
